My very last minute entry into #sewfrugal24 challenge. I wasn't going to participate but realized this morning that the pattern I was planning to make next is a free pattern. So I washed the fabric, cut out the pattern and sewed it all in one day. It is a record for me.🥳 I even managed to modify the blouse to avoid sherring and gathered the front instead extending the bias binding all around the neckline. I also frenchseamed all the seams. My second entry for #sewfrugal22. This is the #soiannieblouse, made from what was marketed as “stretch chiffon” from Joanns. I loved the print when I bought it, but then really never found the right project, and was concerned that I wouldn’t like it because it’s polyester and I wasn’t sure I would wear the print. So this was an opportunity to free it from my stash. My husband loves it; I’m still on the fence.

I made the Annie Blouse from @sewoveritlondon in a lovely chiffon fabric gifted to me by my good friend @dorothysdaughtersews . Lockdown project no 4 completed. This time it’s the SOI Annie blouse, which was a free pattern with a magazine recently. I used this gorgeous satin from @sewisfaction which I bought on impulse because I loved the pattern and colours. It’s a straightforward make - I just struggled slightly with the slipperiness of the satin. The pattern can apparently be used for jersey fabric too so I might try this next time, as I’m not sure I’m really a satin girl on balance. #memadewardrobe #isewlation #sewover50 #soiannieblouse
