I'm off to The Creative Craft and Sewing for Pleasure show at the NEC this weekend and decided I wanted a backpack to take. But as someone who doesn't really wear backpacks I didn't want to make something I wouldn't get much use out of. Here it is! My fourth Sew Over It Tote Pack! But, this is for a lovely friend who is currently using crutches to walk, so will make life a bit easier for her I hope. Made using a light blue jumbo cord from my stash and the rainbow webbing is from Boyes in Lincoln (which I managed to purchase some more from whilst visiting last weekend!) Label was from Home Bargains and rainbow zips from Knitting and Stitching show. När jag var ute och reste nyligen såg jag en person med en så kallad totepack - alltså en blandning mellan en tote bag och en ryggsäck, som går att bära på två olika sätt. Jag tänkte att en sån måste väl gå att göra själv? Efter en snabb googling hittade jag Totepack från @sewoverit och ville genast testa! Tyget är metervara köpt på Ikea, fodret ett gammalt örngott och allt annat (remmar, ringar, knappar osv) från @bibbistextil Jag är meganöjd! Jag gjorde alla tillägg som finns i mönstret, alltså har jag både magnetisk knapp överst och en tryckknapp på framfickan. Dessutom använde jag ett kraftigt mellanlägg till fodertyget, och gjorde en innerficka med dragkedja samt ett vadderat fack inuti (jag gjorde dem enligt mönstret Sally från @threadsbycaroline men anpassade måtten utifrån vad mitt örngott räckte till). I’m really late to share my #soitotepack that I finished over a week ago. I got early access to the pattern as a pattern insider and was over the moon when I saw this design. It is so clever and it is the perfect bag for work. Turns out it is perfect for going to the beach or fabric shopping too. Feel super proud as I usually only makes clothing items. ✨Totepack I have used this bag endlessly since I made it earlier this month. It is insane how much stuff you can actually fit in it, and still have room?? It was so easy to make, I want to make another one but I also just love this one so much!! Another bonus is all of the fabric was already in my stash and I still have enough to make another one. This barely needs any fabric, which is amazing. I used a bag clasp from Hobbycraft, and with this you don’t need to sew it which I found much easier. Another #agtn24 entry. This time it’s the @sewoveritlondon #soitotepack a clever bag that transforms from tote bag to backpack, genius! I’ve used canvas fabric for outer and lined with a cotton poplin and added inside pockets. Both fabrics from @poundfabrics Hardware was purchased in @boyesstores in York Enjoyed making this apart from the bit where I needed to sew the zip placket on the main bag which I found a bit of a fiddle and my machine had a little wobble. 🦐 This bag was the ideal holiday bag!! It held absolutely everything!!! And plus.. it looks super cute on a beach 🏖️ This is the @sewoveritlondon #soitotepack in the most adorable prawn/lobster print canvas from @fabricromance . All the hardware is from @quiltyarnstitch 🩷 This was a gorgoeus pattern to follow and came out beautifully. The only change I made was to add in a welt zipped pocket on the inside. I used the instructions from Sarah (@incompletestitches ) Apex Tote and it worked out wonderfully. This bag can be a tote bag or a backpack which is just a genius construction! Here we have my first (of many!) sew over it Tote Pack! I was gifted this gorgeous fabric and used some Makower novelty Christmas stars cotton for the lining. I added my own twist with an inner zipped pocket as you can never have too many pockets! I absolutely love how it turned out! TOTEPACK. I finished this a few weeks ago and forgot to share. I immediately fell for the new @sewoveritlondon pattern and knew I had to make it. The change from Tote to Pack blew my little mind - how practical! I had been using a me-made tote(screenprinted yellow and green) for a swimbag, but I'm a backpack girl. I cut up the old me-made canvas bag and incorporated it as the outer pocket and used other leftovers to make the bag. I love this blueprint (Vinted bedsheet) as it reminds me of water, so perfect for my swimming bag 🏊‍♀️ I added pockets on the inside too. . Fabric: All scrapbusting, including zip and key strap.
