This is the first dress I've made that I'm hopeful will see me through my pregnancy and well beyond. It's the @helens__closet #ReynoldsDress bodice, hacked to have a button front and with a shirred panel in the back. Experience has taught me that the more flexibility in the bodice for the next few months ahead, the better. I then added two gathered tiers to facilitate maximum growing room and swishability 💃🤰 it's a shape that is rather unfamiliar to me, but then despite being used to having a fluctuating waistline, this small melon shape I'm developing is also unfamiliar 😏 my lovely 4 year old son took these first two photos, bless him. I had to delete a fair few, particularly those that made me look more like a bell tent 😳 the fabric is Nobody's Child dead stock, a viscose crepe. I love the colour 🥰.

So far so good, in terms of my #MeMadeMay pledge! I made this t-shirt last week, fabric is a cotton Spandex jersey from @northernmonkeymakes , 215gsm to ensure maximum opacity. It's the @tillybuttons #SewingAgnes pattern (now size inclusive) lengthened to cover my bump but without any classic maternity gathers so that it'll be useful after pregnancy too. I'm counting on some warm enough weather that I can just swish around in dresses all day and not have to worry too much about close fitting t-shirts and stuff. Who knows what the summer's got for us 🤷🏻♀️.
