#SewingInspiration We have been asked what you can make with our Linen Cotton Jacquard fabrics and the answer is lots! This fabric is fairly light weight for a linen blend, at 125gsm, and has similar qualities to a gauze but heavier. It can be used for shirts, dresses, loose trousers, shorts or jumpsuits and lightweight jackets. For something like the Heather Blazer which is lined this fabric would also be suitable. Very happy with the accidental matching going on in this outfit 😂 I’d had a wardrobe tidy out the other day and pulled both these out 1. To shorten the sleeves on the top and 2. I’m so excited that I can finally share this with you 🙋‍♀️ I got to be a pattern tester for @papercutpatterns Elements Collection which launched last night and here is my Juno jacket. . This isn’t my original tester version. Katie encouraged us to use old fabrics for the it but I loved the Juno jacket so much I immediately treated myself some Tencel Twill from @merchantandmills to make a “proper” version. I’d had my eye on the Campania colour for a long while now and this gave me a reason to finally give in to it. It allows the jacket lovely drape and makes it very easy to wear. But the pocket detail on Juno means it lends itself well to more structured fabrics such as a linen. . I’ve already had lots of wear of this jacket and I know in to spring it will be the perfect layer to throw on. It’s actually already in one of my grid posts but I couldn’t quite tell you that! . I can’t wait to get sewing other items from the Elements collection. Aw a tester I was gifted two patterns and a voucher for The Fabric Store and I’ve definitely got some plans coming together. I haven’t had much sewing content to share because I have been hyper focused on knitting my vest which is now complete ( thank you for all the comments and encouragement!) My wearable muslin. This is my muslin of the #papercutjuno by @papercutpatterns I don’t normally muslin but I am making a quilted coat (and quilting the fabric) so I thought I should check the sizing. I didn’t have enough fabric for sleeves (I actually had enough for 1 sleeve so tested then removed), I’ve shortened it and added a tie instead of the belt. I’m really happy with the result so far.
