What do we think of the slip dress trend this summer? I’m a fan 🖤
This is the #mayadress from @papercutpatterns which features a lined bodice and bias skirt. It’s a really romantic silhouette and has 3 lengths.
Here’s some tips I wanted to share for this pattern:
🖤 I’d recommend an overlocker for the neatest finish as the seam construction is a bit fiddly. There’s also some hand stitching needed, which I like but know a lot of sewists don’t!
🖤 I used my walking foot for the bias binding and hem which made it much easier.
🖤 let bias garments hang for at least a day before hemming. I basted 0.5cm in from the edge as a guiding line for folding the hem up which worked well.
