Am I the only one that decides to do things based on the clothes I want to wear?
A night at the Opera was a great excuse to wear my #evyndress in this pretty velvet!
I've heard it's a good idea to try a completely new pattern, two days before an event, with no mockup, in stretch velvet of unknown composition, so that's what I did 😂
I love the result but the fabric doesn't have as much stretch as the pattern calls for, so I can't really raise my arms, oops!
Curious to try this pattern in different fabrics, thinking of a grunge version in a purple stretch mesh from my stash! Opinions?
This beautiful pattern in from @dressmakingamore and it comes together really fast, with a couple of really clever construction tricks! It's meant to be sewn on a serger, but I used an overlock stitch on my normal machine.
